After Julys round we want to make a couple of slight amendments to the remainder of the season. These changes have been made to tighten down some of the issues we faced brought on by the new track layout. All will be clarified in drivers briefing.
Track Layout & Limits
Before Qualifying and the race, The Clerk of the course, Race director/Timekeeper and series co-ordinator will inspect the full track, ensuring all tyre barriers are in their set positions. These positions will be set, if a tyre barrier is pushed or out of place during the race, the race director will signal for them to be pushed back, typically covered by yellow flags.
The track are currently looking into options for the last corner of the track. We are seeing more and more competitors off the track, on the run off onto the straight. We will keep everyone updated.
Track limits Warnings
Each team will have 2 track limit warnings – this will be carried over the full race duration – any subsequent cuts and calls the team will be black flagged for a stop go penalty, this will not count as one of their stops.
Track limit warnings will be issued to teams who are abusing track limits, with two wheels off the track.
Late Fees
Late fees should only apply on Thursday afternoon. Again, Luke and the team will clarify
