With the recent changes this year to Pylon Bend, we are keen to hear your thoughts.
This year the track tried to smooth out Pylon Bend, which was considered very hard on the kart. The big raised kerb was a favored racing line for many drivers.
A forum thread was created off the back of Round 1 to discuss your thoughts, click here to view the thread.
Do you think it’s a much improved corner now? or do you think it needs a complete overhaul?

Jump into a conversationRaise the concrete a bit more to avoid having to straddle the rumble strip, my frame was scraped badly after round 1 and new nose cone has a large hole in it with continuous scraping over the rumble strip.. Just need to raise the new concrete a bit more please..
Agree with you there Amigo… raise the inner layer some.. plus give it a screed, hard, polished type finish.. something that will rubber-in with time. The current surface is soft & dusty which dirty’s the tyres for the following right hander.
I left a comment in the forum before this came up so no point rubbing salt in a wound.
Are any of the competitors/sponsors builders? Surely someone will be able to lend some time and advice?
It’s worse now than before any work was carried out. The problem is the new concrete is lower than the old that is left causing karts to bottom out.
